The Group

Scame Mastaf is at the heart of an industrial group present in three European countries with six production sites. We cover every critical stage of the cycle: from the design and construction of the mould in our in-house Industry 4.0 toolroom, to production on more than two hundred moulding machines across the two Italian plants, through to labour-intensive assembly at the Bulgarian sites and coverage of Central Europe from Poprad.

For the customer this means a single point of contact, a single contractual responsibility, one Quality Manual and capacity that can be scaled across three countries. It is the structural advantage over a contract manufacturing sector that is largely single-site and confined to its domestic market.

Since 1966

Scame was founded in 1966 — Società Costruzione Attrezzature Meccaniche. The sign at the gate said two words: costruzione stampi, mould making. Moulding followed in 1973, with Mastaf: Montaggi, Assiemaggi, Stampaggio, Finiture — assembly, sub-assembly, moulding and finishing. On 17 December 1980 the two came together as a single company, Scame Mastaf.

The chain we offer today is the order in which we built it: first the mould, then the moulding, then the assembly and the finish. We did not become a full-chain supplier. We have been one since 1980, and we have been making moulds since 1966.
